Calso for accountants
Answers the phone while you're in a client meeting.
Calso is an AI phone answerer for Australian accountants and bookkeepers. When you're with a client and the phone rings out, the call goes to Calso instead of voicemail. It answers practical questions about your services, fees and what to bring from your own website and setup interview, takes the enquiry, and texts it to you straight away. You keep your own number.

The calls accountants miss
- You're in a client meeting, so the phone rings out.
- From July to October everyone wants their tax done at once, and the phone doesn't stop.
- New clients ask about fees, what to bring and whether you do business returns, and the answers are on your website.
A missed call to your practice

What Calso does on those calls
- Answers questions about your services, fees (if you publish them), what to bring, your hours and how appointments work.
- Takes enquiries and appointment requests: name, number, individual or business, what they need and any deadline.
- Texts you each one straight away.
- Says it's an AI assistant if anyone asks. It never pretends to be a person.
What it won't do
- It doesn't give tax or financial advice. Anything like that becomes a message for you.
- It doesn't access client files, the ATO or your practice software.
- It doesn't record calls, and it never guesses: what it doesn't know becomes a message for you.
How your practice gets set up
- 01
Calso reads what you've published
Sign up with your business name. Calso reads your website and Google listing for your hours, services, prices and policies.
- 02
A short setup interview
Typed, or by voice if you'd rather. It covers what your website doesn't say, and how you want messages and requests taken.
- 03
Forward the calls you miss
You get your Calso number and choose a plan. Then set your phone to forward the calls you don't answer. Customers keep ringing your usual number.
Setup usually takes under 15 minutes, because Calso reads your website and Google listing first. Nothing is charged until you choose a plan. To undo it, turn call forwarding off.

of 82 Google visits to accountants' pages came while the business was closed
Most accountants in the directory are closed on weekends, and around half the Google visits to their pages came while they were closed.
The visit figure counts Google visits to business pages in the Calso Directory from Saturday 24 to Monday 26 October 2026, set against each business's listed hours in its own state's time. It was a weekend-heavy sample, so read it as a sign of when people look businesses up, not a rule for every week. Each of those visits was someone who might have called.
Where they're listed most: Melbourne (1,237), Sydney (1,199), Brisbane (463), Perth (433), Adelaide (234), Gold Coast (178). Listings and hours as published in the directory, October 2026.
Your directory listing needs no account. Calso, the phone answerer, is a separate paid service.
