Releases & Roadmap

What we’ve built.
What’s next.

Calso has been in development since October 2025. We’re currently in private beta, preparing to onboard our first venues. This is an honest look at what’s built, what’s in progress, and what’s coming.

v0.1 ReleasedOctober 2025

Foundation

Started with the core infrastructure. The goal was to get the architecture right before building anything visible — multi-tenant data isolation, the AI reasoning layer, and the action model that everything else runs on.

Multi-tenant data model — venues, contacts, inventory, invoices, calls, messages, staff, calendar all fully isolated per account
Row-level security across every table — no venue can ever access another's data
AI command engine — natural language input is parsed into typed, structured action plans with confidence scores
Vector database for semantic memory — venue context stored as embeddings, retrieved at inference time
v0.2 ReleasedNovember 2025

Voice & Phone Calls

The feature that makes Calso feel real. Real phone calls — inbound and outbound — handled end-to-end by the AI. It picks up, holds a conversation, and logs everything.

Outbound voice AI — calls suppliers to place orders, chase invoices, confirm bookings, and negotiate on your behalf
Inbound call handling — the AI answers your venue's phone, handles enquiries, and takes bookings 24/7
Real-time speech-to-speech pipeline — sub-second latency with natural turn-taking and interruption handling
8 battle-tested call scenarios — supplier orders, customer bookings, complaints, invoice chases, missed call follow-ups, and more
Full call logging — every conversation stored with transcript, direction, outcome, and duration
v0.3 ReleasedDecember 2025

Messaging, Email & Invoices

Text and email channels come online. Calso composes in your voice, runs campaigns, handles inbound messages, and extracts structured data from invoices automatically.

Two-way SMS — send and receive messages, with inbound routing and real-time delivery status
SMS marketing campaigns — build, preview, and send to segmented contact lists
AI email composition — every email written in your tone, not a template
Automated purchase orders — AI generates and sends restock requests to your suppliers
Invoice OCR pipeline — PDFs are processed to extract amounts, line items, dates, and supplier details automatically
v0.4 ReleasedJanuary 2026

Operations Dashboard

The full operational layer. Every module a venue runs on — scheduling, inventory, staff, reservations, contacts — built out as a real working dashboard, not a mockup.

Calendar and scheduling — reservations, staff shifts, deliveries, and tasks in one view with Google Calendar sync
Staff management — roster templates, shift trades, and schedule notifications
Inventory intelligence — real-time stock levels, reorder thresholds, cost tracking, and supplier associations
Reservations — covers, party size, time slots, dietary flags, and status management
Relationship graph — every supplier, customer, and staff member tracked with history and notes
v0.5 ReleasedFebruary 2026

Autonomous AI & Memory

Calso stops waiting to be asked. The autonomous action layer, persistent memory, trust controls, and a proactive engine that runs in the background and acts before you think to ask.

Autonomous action execution — AI plans become real actions: calls placed, messages sent, orders raised, bookings confirmed
Persistent venue memory — everything Calso learns is stored as structured knowledge and retrieved semantically at runtime
Granular trust controls — define exactly which action types run autonomously and which require your approval
Proactive task engine — runs continuously in the background, discovers upcoming tasks and handles them before they become problems
AI-generated daily briefings — revenue patterns, staffing alerts, inventory flags, and upcoming priorities surfaced each morning
v0.6 ReleasedMarch 2026

Demo, Onboarding & Voice Identity

The public-facing product takes shape. A live demo anyone can try, a structured onboarding interview that builds a deep venue knowledge base, and the foundation of per-venue voice identity.

Live demo — paste any venue website or Google Maps link, Calso crawls it in real time and shows exactly what it would know
Onboarding interview — structured AI conversation with the owner, automatically distilled into a rich venue knowledge base
Voice identity pipeline — owner records samples, voice model trained to make Calso sound like your venue
Full public site — home, features, pricing, how it works, FAQ, use cases, venue-specific landing pages, and security
v0.7 In progressApril 2026

Beta Preparation

Where we are now. Hardening the system, closing edge cases, and preparing for the first real venues. The product is functionally complete — this phase is about making it robust.

End-to-end reliability hardening across voice, messaging, and real-time data pipelines
Security audit — access control, data boundaries, and API surface area reviewed
Memory and context system improvements — more accurate retrieval, faster inference
Waitlist open — early access with priority onboarding
v1.0 Coming soonComing soon

Beta Launch

First cohort of real venues go live. We're deliberately starting small — a limited set of features enabled per venue so we can monitor closely, move carefully, and make sure everything works exactly as it should before expanding.

Dedicated 1-on-1 onboarding — we build your venue's knowledge base with you, not for you
Dedicated phone number per venue — calls answered as your business from day one
Deep venue context loaded at launch — suppliers, staff, regulars, tone, history, preferences
Custom voice identity — Calso sounds like your venue, trained on your voice
Limited feature rollout per venue — we enable capabilities gradually as we verify they're performing correctly
Conservative trust baseline to start — autonomy expands as confidence builds over time
